Security Statement

CNB Bank & Trust, N.A. provides Internet banking (Digital Banking) access through Q2 Holdings, Inc. Q2 requires all its divisions and companies to take proactive steps to ensure that the systems they own or participate in contain adequate security measures to limit the possibility of unintended distribution of confidential information and the potential for fraud-related losses. All Q2 products run on robust systems. State of the art firewall technology is the first line of access to any information housed.

Included on these systems is the capacity to allow only secure connections by end users. Utilizing Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, all transmissions of web pages and data between the financial institution and its customers are completely encrypted and are unreadable to any person or group trying to "intercept" the transmission. SSL encryption is the industry standard and is commonly used in internet applications that require security and privacy for sensitive data.

Passwords

Before the consumer accesses Digital Banking, they are required to enter their user ID, password, and SAC code. Without the proper login, consumers cannot see or use any web pages or mobile apps within the Digital banking product.

A Secure Access Code (SAC) is a unique, single-use 6-digit code which protects against fraud by safeguarding your online transactions and sensitive information. A SAC is another level of authentication in addition to your Login ID and password, providing you stronger online security.

Account Number Masking and Account Aliases

For security reasons, complete account numbers never appear on the computer screen. When the account number needs to be displayed, it appears with the last 4 digits of the account number instead of the full account number. The complete account number is never displayed in full to help prevent fraud for both the consumers and CNB Bank & Trust, N.A.

Account "nicknames" are user-defined titles for the consumers’ account (i.e., "My Checking") and is used when displaying account information on the screen.

Secure Connection

When consumers are accessing online information, their connection is automatically converted into a secure Internet communications session.

Data Encryption

When consumers access their account information or any other sensitive data, an encryption system is automatically activated to protect the transmission of information from unauthorized sources.

Regardless of the efforts, the prevalence of hackers, phishers, cyberattacks, and other attempts to disable computers, steal data, or use breached computer system to launch additional attacks, when combined with the "open" nature of the Internet, make it impossible to guarantee absolute confidentiality in all circumstances. However, CNB Bank & Trust, N.A. continues to monitor and review the security procedures that it has in place to protect customer information. These measures are updated as practices change, and new technology becomes available.
